Overview
This is a Transport Planning / Inland Logistics Operations role within company's Inland Transportation (Intermodal & Road Transport) Operations.
The role is Inland Transport Planner, the actual work is a combination of transport planning, carrier coordination, operational execution, logistics problem-solving, and stakeholder management.
Role: Inland Transport Planner / Logistics specialist
Type & Duration: Contract & 3-6 months
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute the timely movement of cargo, coordinating with vendors and customer service.
- Ensure standardized transports based on planning and optimization.
- Work closely with vendors on performances and build relationships for future growth.
- Focus on transport quality, costs and reporting.
- Customer-oriented mindset to fulfill customer requirements.
- Working in the daily operations with meeting structures and projects.
- Monitor and resolve issues as they occur during planning or execution for the own area of responsibility & ownership – mainly for vendors, terminals, rail stations, depots.
- Work closely with your Team leader/Manager in regards to the daily operations, objectives and company's targets.
- Be in the center of coordination with other business units including Equipment, Customer Service, Sales and Intermodal Product to serve customers in the right way and improve processes while resolving issues.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or 2-4 years of experience in the transportation/shipping industry or
