Job summary

Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine seeks a Functional Analyst – POM / MAKE to support SAP‑MES integration and manufacturing data alignment. You will work on deployment, validation, and testing within a regulated environment, ensuring data integrity and system readiness.

Ideal candidates have a university degree and hands-on SAP/S4HANA experience in the pharmaceutical or life sciences sector, with fluent English, and a collaborative, analytical mindset.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent in a relevant business, technical, or scientific discipline.
• Hands-on functional experience within a regulated (GxP) environment.
• Experience supporting ERP or digital transformation initiatives, preferably SAP S/4HANA.
• Experience in the Pharmaceutical or Life Sciences industry.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Support SAP–MES (PAS-X) integration activities, PLM-driven engineering change processes, master data validity checks, and Manufacture at Risk capabilities.
• Assist with functional validation of Manufacturing master data, process orders, BOMs, master recipes, and production versions.
• Support solution confirmation activities by documenting requirements, reviewing designs, and validating alignment with the global template.
• Execute detailed functional tasks including configuration support, data validation, and integration readiness activities.
• Prepare and support deployment and hypercare activities.

About Transcend

Transcend is a global business transformation program that will modernize our foundational transactional processes and harmonize them into one clean ERP as a standardized platform for growth and efficiency gains.

The program will simplify the Pharmaceutical ERP landscape from seven systems to one, standardizing processes to create a cost-effective, fit-for-purpose digital backbone that enables agility and scalability across the business.

Additionally, Transcend will remediate end-of-life system exposure expected toward the end of this decade, reducing risk while enabling long-term sustainability.

Role Purpose

The Functional Analyst – POM / MAKE supports the deployment of Manufacturing Execution–related capabilities within the Transcend SAP S/4HANA program. The role provides hands‑on functional support across solution confirmation, testing, and deployment activities, ensuring Manufacturing solutions align with the global template, regulatory requirements, and SAP Clean Core principles.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

Functional Delivery & Execution

• Support SAP–MES (PAS-X) integration activities, PLM-driven engineering change processes, master data validity checks, and Manufacture at Risk capabilities.
• Assist with functional validation of Manufacturing master data, process orders, BOMs, master recipes, and production versions.
• Support solution confirmation activities by documenting requirements, reviewing designs, and validating alignment with the global template.
• Execute detailed functional tasks including configuration support, data validation, and integration readiness activities.

Testing, Deployment & Hypercare Support

• Prepare and execute Business Simulation Testing and User Acceptance Testing activities under the guidance of the Functional Deployment Lead.
• Support defect triage, resolution, and retesting activities.
• Provide functional support during deployment and hypercare periods.

Qualifications

Required

• University degree or equivalent experience in a relevant business, technical, or scientific discipline.
• Hands‑on functional experience within a regulated (GxP) environment.
• Experience supporting ERP or digital transformation initiatives, preferably SAP S/4HANA.
• Experience in the Pharmaceutical or Life Sciences industry.
• Fluent in written and spoken English

Preferred

• Prior involvement in global ERP deployments.
• Experience with MES systems and SAP integration
