Job summary

Garanti BBVA International invites students enrolled in accredited programs to join a 6–9 month Transaction Due Diligence (TDD) internship in Amsterdam. You will work with the TDD team on transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, and AML, gaining practical, hands-on experience in an international banking environment.

You will learn from experienced professionals, develop analytical skills, and contribute to risk assessments while supporting routine documentation and case reviews.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in an accredited study program at internship time.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Meticulous and highly organized with good time management.
• Curiosity, integrity and proactive learning attitude.
• Basic data analysis skills; proficient in Excel; familiarity with data visualization is a plus.
• Proficiency in multiple languages is advantageous in an international setting.

Responsibilities

• Learn daily transaction monitoring by supporting experienced TDD analysts.
• Review corporate customer transactions for potential money laundering, fraud, sanctions, or financial crime risks.
• Screen counterparties against sanctions lists and watchlists.
• Understand how activity relates to customer profiles and risk levels.
• Assist in reviewing transactions considering goods, pricing, routes, counterparties, and documentation.
• Review alerts from automated monitoring and note escalation when needed.
• Support documentation and administrative tasks for the TDD team.
• Collaborate with colleagues to deepen AML and sanctions knowledge in an international bank.
