Job summary

Addleshaw Goddard Amsterdam is seeking a Trainee Lawyer in Employment to work across a broad employment law practice. You will advise clients and assist with disputes related to individual and collective dismissals, contracts, remuneration, and employee participation.

Working with experienced lawyers, you will draft documents, support in negotiations, and collaborate with other teams to deliver comprehensive employment law services.

Qualifications

• Near graduation in Dutch law (WO Dutch Law).
• Demonstrable interest in employment law.
• Excellent command of Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
• Curious, thorough and ambitious.
• Strong analytical, communication and drafting abilities.
• Client‑focused with a genuine interest in the law.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the house counsel for clients within the employment team, covering the full lifecycle of employment matters.
• Draft and negotiate employment contracts, advise on remuneration, CAOs, sickness absence, performance, leave and employee participation.
• Support clients when employment relationships end, including underperformance or redundancy scenarios.
• Collaborate with colleagues across practice areas, such as Corporate.
