Job summary

Kibbi Technologies Inc. is seeking reliable Traffic Control Workers to support roadwork projects in Newfoundland and Labrador. You will direct traffic, use stop/slow paddles, and coordinate with crew to keep motorists and pedestrians safe in active work zones.

The role requires a TCP certification, knowledge of local regulations, and the ability to stay alert in variable weather and high-traffic conditions. Rotating shifts including mornings, evenings, and weekends are common.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Direct and control traffic using stop/slow paddles, hand signals, and radios.
  • Set up and take down traffic control devices including cones, signs, and barricades in accordance with provincial guidelines.
  • Maintain safe traffic flow through construction zones and around hazards.
  • Communicate effectively with crew members and supervisors to coordinate traffic movement.
  • Monitor site conditions and adjust traffic control plans as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) regulations and provincial standards.
  • Report any incidents, near misses, or unsafe conditions immediately.

  • Physically capable of standing for extended periods and working in varying weather conditions.
  • Reliable transportation to job sites may be required.
Working Conditions:
  • Outdoor work in all weather conditions common to Newfoundland and Labrador.
  • Rotating shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
  • Fast-paced environments with exposure to moving traffic and construction activity.
