Job summary

DRW, a diversified trading firm, seeks a Trading Systems Engineer in Amsterdam to maintain a high-availability trading ecosystem. You’ll collaborate with traders, infrastructure and software teams to ensure smooth operations and rapid issue resolution.

You will apply your experience in trade support, Linux/Unix, Python, andSQL to automate tasks, monitor systems, and integrate new desks and technologies across global markets.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in trade support, site reliability engineering or related fields.
• Bachelor’s degree in STEM or related field.
• Familiarity with trading platforms and financial markets.
• Thrives in high-pressure situations while working with traders and engineers.
• Strong problem-solving skills and troubleshooting under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Knowledge of Linux/Unix environments.
• Experience with Python and Bash for automation tasks.
• Ability to devise complex SQL queries and updates.
• Basic networking knowledge (multicast, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).

Responsibilities

• Maintaining the health and availability of a world-class trading ecosystem.
• Responding to support requests from traders and software engineers.
• Contributing to automation and monitoring solutions to reduce manual configuration and improve uptime.
• Liaising with external trading partners, such as exchanges and clearing firms, to resolve technical issues.
• Onboarding new trading desks, trading systems and technologies.
