Job summary

Quant Capital in Amsterdam is seeking a Trading Systems Engineer to join its technology team. This production-facing role supports the systems behind automated trading, staying close to traders, developers and infrastructure to keep the platform stable and well deployed.

You will dig into Linux logs, network behavior and release problems, own incidents from alert to resolution, and help improve monitoring and tooling.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting business-critical production systems.
• Good troubleshooting ability across applications, systems and networks.
• Understanding of TCP/IP, routing or multicast.
• Scripting ability in Python, Bash, PowerShell or similar.
• Calm approach to time-sensitive incidents.
• Clear communication and good judgement under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Support live trading systems during market hours.
• Own production issues from alert through to resolution.
• Help manage releases, configuration changes and deployments.
• Investigate issues across Linux, applications, market data and connectivity.
• Improve monitoring, alerting and operational tooling.
• Write small scripts to remove repetitive manual work.
• Work closely with developers, infrastructure and trading teams.
