Job summary

QuantFi, a proprietary high-frequency trading firm in the crypto industry, is seeking a Trading Engineer to join our Schiphol-Rijk office. You will develop and scale the backend of our trading platform with a strong focus on low-latency finance.

We expect a MSc in a related field and at least 4 years of software experience, including 2+ years in Rust, plus expertise in SQL/NoSQL, networking, and building high-throughput systems.

Qualifications

• MSc degree in Engineering, CS, Math, Physics or Econometrics.
• 4+ years software experience with at least 2 years in Rust.
• Experience building high-throughput, low-latency software.
• Understanding of TCP/UDP networking.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Strong ownership and problem-solving mindset.

About the role

As a Trading Engineer, you are one of the most important players in our growing team. Developing and programming is something you absolutely love and we provide the perfect place to do it. You are a senior/medior developer with all the skills needed to continuously improve our platform and a strong focus on finance who has at least 2 years of experience in a similar role.

What you bring:

• You have a MSc degree (or equivalent experience) in Engineering, Computer Science, Maths, Physics, Econometrics
• 4+ years of experience, of which at least 2 years of experience with Rust
• Experience in building high throughput, low latency software applications
• Understanding of networking protocols: TCP/UDP
• Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases
• A strong ownership and problem solving mindset

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with concurrent programming and distributed systems
• Familiarity with Typescript and Node.js
• A basic understanding of the linux kernel and its constraints
• System level and compiler optimization techniques
