Job summary

The Preferred Supplier is seeking a Trader to join our client’s market-making team in Amsterdam. You will continuously price and trade financial products, digest information from multiple sources, and take action to adjust trading parameters while managing portfolio risk.

You will collaborate with development and research to implement improvements, apply an entrepreneurial and analytical mindset, and thrive in a team-oriented, compliant environment.

Qualifications

• MSc in engineering, mathematics, physics, econometrics, data science, finance, or related disciplines.
• 2–4 years working experience in the financial industry.
• Programming skills in Python and VBA.
• Self-directed with strong analytical and communication skills.
• Team-oriented and able to work under minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Continuously price and trade financial products to fulfill market-making responsibilities.
• Digest information from multiple sources and adjust trading parameters accordingly.
• Manage the risk of a complex portfolio of financial instruments.
• Collaborate with development and research to implement improvements.

Within your team, you fully manage your own trading book. Your tasks will encompass many different responsibilities, primarily making good risk-reward trading decisions. But just as importantly working closely with development and research to make continuous improvements.

WHAT WE EXPECT

As a Trader, you will continuously price and trade financial products to fulfill our market-making responsibilities. You will need to digest information from multiple sources and take action to adjust trading parameters. The result of trading will also be to manage the risk of the complex portfolio of financial instruments.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL WE EXPECT FROM YOU

• MSc. in engineering, mathematics, physics, econometrics, data science, finance, or related disciplines
• At least 2- 4 years working experience in the financial industry
• Working experience programming skills like Python and VBA
• Entrepreneurial and Strong analytical skills
• Self-directed and able to work under minimal supervision
• Team player and communicator
