Role Description

We are looking for exceptional local guides to join our freelance network — Individuals who are not only knowledgeable but who also have the gift of storytelling. This role is ideal for those who enjoy bringing destinations to life through rich narratives and personalized attention. You will be guiding high-end travelers across various cities in the Benelux region, acting as both host and cultural interpreter. You’ll help ensure each guest enjoys a seamless, immersive, and memorable experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, insightful, and customized tours for individuals and small groups
• Interpret historical, artistic, and cultural narratives in an accessible and inspiring way
• Maintain professionalism and adaptability in high-end environments
• Assist with on-site logistics where needed, in collaboration with our operations team
• Represent Sapiens Travel’s values of authenticity, excellence, and warmth

Qualifications

• Solid background in history, architecture, art, or cultural studies
• Exceptional communication and storytelling skills
• Ability to “connect the dots” across history, culture, and present-day life without sounding like a lecturer
• In-depth knowledge of local culture, traditions, neighborhoods, and hidden gems
• Fluency in English (Spanish and Portuguese are highly appreciated)
• Previous experience guiding luxury or high-end clients is a strong advantage
• Punctuality, discretion, and attention to detail are essential
• Enthusiasm for sustainable, respectful, and culturally sensitive tourism
