Job description

Department

You will join Robeco’s Global Procurement, Third-Party & Facility Management department, a key part of our Operations domain. Our mission is to enhance financial resilience, operational efficiency, and sustainability by managing critical resources, vendor relationships, and workplace services across the organization.

The department consists of four interconnected teams: Procurement – Driving cost optimization and proactive contract management with the goal of achieving financial resilience through our vendors. Third-Party Management – Ensuring robust risk management, compliance, and governance with the goal of contributing to operational resilience in all engagements with third parties. Sustainable Operations – Putting our net‑zero ambitions into practice for our offices worldwide, engaging with key vendors to monitor and manage CO₂ emissions consumed via our vendor ecosystem. Facility Management – Creating a safe, efficient, and collaborative work environment through high‑quality office services and infrastructure management.

Together, we act as a strategic partner to the business, enabling growth while safeguarding compliance and corporate values. We work closely with global stakeholders and external vendors on initiatives that impact the entire organization. Our culture is professional and collaborative, valuing transparency, continuous improvement, and innovation, offering the opportunity to make a real impact in cost efficiency, resilience, and sustainability.

Position & Requirements

As a Third-Party Management Specialist, you will support the processes that help Robeco manage third-party risks in a structured and compliant manner. You will gain practical experience by working with stakeholders, coordinating assessments, maintaining records, tracking actions, and supporting process improvements. Prior experience in Third-Party Risk Management is not required; we are looking for someone with an analytical mindset, strong attention to detail, and a genuine interest in developing within this area.

What you will do
  • Support the end-to-end execution of Third-Party Management activities, including initial risk assessments, due diligence, assurance report reviews, monitoring activities, and issue follow-up.
  • Work with clear processes, guidance, and tools to assess whether third-party relationships meet Robeco’s standards for risk, compliance, and operational resilience.
  • Help maintain accurate and complete TPM records so that decisions, reviews, and follow-ups are properly documented.
  • Prepare clear updates, overviews, and documentation that help stakeholders understand the status of third‑party risks and required follow‑up actions.
  • Learn how regulatory requirements such as DORA translate into practical day‑to‑day controls, evidence, and reporting.
  • Contribute ideas to make TPM processes smarter, simpler, and more efficient.
  • Support improvements in workflows, tooling, data quality, and reporting, including the use of technology and AI where relevant.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across Procurement, IT, Legal, Compliance, Risk Management, and business teams to support smooth execution of TPM processes.
  • Provide practical support to business users and suppliers by helping them understand what information is needed and why it matters.
Who are we looking for

You are an early-career professional with a bachelor’s or Masters degree, preferably in Finance, Business Administration, Risk Management, Supply Chain Management or another relevant field. You may already have some experience through an internship, traineeship, student job, or first professional role, but this is not a hard requirement. You are curious about third‑party risk management, operational resilience, financial services, regulation, and how organizations work with external suppliers.

What helps you succeed
  • An eager learning mindset and the motivation to develop into a strong Third-Party Risk Management professional.
  • Affinity with risk management, compliance, processes, data, or supplier management; prior knowledge is useful, but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately with information, evidence, and documentation.
  • A structured and analytical way of working, with the confidence to ask questions when something is unclear.
  • Interest in technology, automation, and smarter ways of working
  • Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with colleagues from different teams and backgrounds.
