Job summary

THE ENTOURAGE GROUP in Amsterdam is seeking an entry-level Shiftleader for one of our venues. No prior experience required; you will learn quickly in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

You will help with cleanliness, dishwashing, stock organization, deliveries, and basic food prep while upholding high hospitality standards. Part-time or full-time availability, English required, living in or near Amsterdam.

Qualifications

• Entry-level opportunity with no previous experience required.
• Motivation to learn and grow in a professional, fast-paced team environment.
• Ability to learn quickly in a high-volume restaurant and work with others.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout indoor and outdoor areas.
• Operating and maintaining dishwashing machines and ensuring equipment is cleaned.
• Removing rubbish and recycling and disposing of waste correctly.
• Assisting with deliveries, stock organization, and tidy storage spaces.
• Supporting chefs with basic food preparation and other kitchen tasks.
• Following food hygiene, health and safety procedures to ensure hospitality quality.

The Nine Streets is known for its cobbled streets, boutique shops, kitsch cafes, and art galleries. Since flipping its first burger in the autumn of 2016, THE BUTCHER Nine Streets has continued to serve the brand’s signature menu of haute fast food on the Spuistraat and our outside terrace in the summer months.

At THE BUTCHER Burger Bar, our haute fast food is prepared on the spot with only the freshest of ingredients. We can also assure you that you will work with the best quality Aberdeen Angus Beef. We are seeking enthusiastic and positive people who want to join our dynamic team, and who are full-time or part-time available. This job is an entry-level opportunity with no previous experience required. All you need is the motivation to learn and grow in a professional, faced paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout indoor and outdoor areas, to ensure a safe and organized working environment
• Operating and maintaining dishwashing machines, ensuring all equipment is cleaned
• Removing rubbish and recycling and disposing of waste correctly
• Assisting with deliveries, stock organization, and maintaining tidy, well-structured storage spaces
• Supporting chefs with basic food preparation and other kitchen tasks as required
• Following food hygiene, health and safety procedures while contributing to excellent hospitality and guest satisfaction

Who are you?

• Part-time or Full-time available
• Flexibility to work (evening) shifts
• Previous experience in food services is a plus but not required
• Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant
• You have team spirit and multitasking skills
• The ability to speak English
• Living in or nearby Amsterdam
