The BUTCHER Nine Streets, part of THE ENTOURAGE GROUP, is seeking an ambitious Shift Leader to oversee daily operations and support the General Manager at our Nine Streets venues in Amsterdam. You will lead the team, manage guest relations, ensure kitchen and service standards, and implement cost controls while upholding hygiene and safety.

English fluency, strong leadership and hands-on hospitality are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year professional experience in the desired position.
• Fluent English in speaking and writing.
• Strong management skills.
• Experience in the kitchen.
• Passionate about hospitality.
• HACCP food hygiene certificate and SVH mentor diplomas are a plus.
• Organized, an excellent communicator, hands-on manager.
• Strong influence, interpersonal, communication and problem solving skills.
• Ability to quickly integrate into a team and be recognised as a leader.
• Able to delegate effectively with professionalism.

• Builds relationships with restaurant guests and resolves complaints efficiently.
• Part of daily operations and works the grill.
• Supervises prompt, efficient, courteous service to guests.
• Maintains high standards of quality, hygiene, health and safety.
• Implements cost control procedures to maximize profitability.
• Handles scheduling.
• Conducts training when needed.
• Gives daily briefings and participates in meetings.
• Keeps aware of trends and equipment in hospitality.
• Appraises staff performance and provides feedback.
