Job summary

AME (Applied Micro Electronics) in Eindhoven is seeking a Test Engineer to design, develop and validate customized test systems for new products and manufacturing processes. You will analyze complex technical challenges, identify root causes, and implement robust, reliable testing solutions.

You will work within the Test & Automation Development group, collaborating with project teams to translate requirements into effective test strategies and specifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or related field.
• Prefer 5+ years in test development or related environments.
• Strong electronics/mechatronics background and testing experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve customized test systems for new products and processes.
• Analyze technical problems, investigate root causes, and develop practical solutions.
• Translate product requirements into effective test strategies and specifications.
• Identify risks early and define measures to mitigate them.
• Own the design, realization, validation, verification, qualification and documentation of test systems.
• Make technical decisions and solve complex or unclear problems independently.
• Perform pre-studies and feasibility analyses to support decisions.
• Apply Design for Testing principles and contribute to FMEA and risk assessments.
• Ensure test systems meet quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Support deployment into production and provide second-line support for improvements.
• Share knowledge and contribute to improving test development practices.
