Job summary

HAL Allergy in Leiden seeks a Technician Analytical Development to develop, validate, and implement biochemical and immunological analytical methods, ensuring GMP-compliant operations. You will transfer methods from development to QC, perform ELISA, SDS-PAGE, and potency assays, and support instrument maintenance within a cross-functional team.

You should hold a BSc in Biochemistry or Life Sciences with at least 3 years of relevant lab experience, strong analytical skills, and good communication

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant laboratory experience.
  • Hands-on experience with biochemical and immunological analytical methods.
  • Experience with method transfer from development to QC environments.
  • Familiarity with GMP-regulated environments and quality systems.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, improve, qualify, and implement biochemical and immunological methods.
  • Support transfer of analytical methods from development into routine QC.
  • Perform Quality Control testing and document results.
  • Run ELISA, SDS-PAGE, potency assays, and protein analyses.
  • Troubleshoot analytical challenges and propose improvements.
  • Maintain instruments and laboratory supplies; collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Job description

As a Technician Analytical Development, you will play a key role in developing, optimizing, validating, and implementing analytical methods that support the quality of our products. You will collaborate closely with experts across Quality Control, Analytical Development, and Biochemistry while contributing to scientifically sound and regulatory-compliant laboratory operations.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop, improve, qualify, and implement biochemical and immunological analytical methods.
  • Support the transfer of analytical methods from development into routine
  • Quality Control testing.
  • Perform laboratory assays including:ELISA
    • Potency assays
    • SDS-PAGE
    • Protein determination methods
    • Immunoblotting techniques
  • Troubleshoot analytical challenges and propose process improvements.
  • Ensure analytical methods comply with GMP requirements and applicable regulatory guidelines.
  • Accurately document, analyze, and report experimental results.
  • Support laboratory operations, including maintenance of instruments, equipment, and laboratory supplies.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve project and departmental objectives.
You have
  • Bachelor's degree (BSc) in Biochemistry, Biology, Life Sciences, or a comparable HLO qualification.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant laboratory experience.
  • Hands-on experience with biochemical and immunological analytical methods, including ELISA, SDS-PAGE, potency assays, protein assays, and immunoblotting.
  • Experience with analytical method transfer from development to Quality Control environments.
  • Familiarity with GMP-regulated environments and quality systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
