Job summary

Atlas NextWave is seeking a technically adept specialist to serve as the offshore wind operation’s technical backbone from a regular office in IJmuiden.

You will be the first point of contact for technicians working on Vestas turbines, analyze error data, provide remote fixes, and guide field teams, with only rare 12-hour offshore shifts.

This role offers training in Germany, vacation days, and a stable local base with autonomy to shape the position.

Qualifications

• Experience as a service technician or in technical support of Vestas turbines (V80 a strong plus).
• Sharp analytical, solution-oriented mindset.
• Ability to explain technical information clearly and practically.
• Fluent Dutch and English.
• Precise, responsible, team-oriented work style.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for offshore technicians on complex malfunctions and troubleshooting.
• Analyze turbine error data to determine root cause and remote-fix potential.
• Process field feedback and define follow-up actions.
• Determine spare parts and tools needed before dispatch.
• Maintain technical documentation and procedures.
• Translate field data into process improvements.
• Occasional offshore support for complex failures (12-hour shifts).
