Job summary

Damen Digital Solutions is hiring a Technical Project Manager for Remote Monitoring to lead the Triton platform installations on vessels. You will coordinate across customers, engineers, suppliers and project teams to ensure successful delivery and handover.

The role combines technical insight with project management, translating vessel needs into actionable plans, and maintaining progress, quality, and budget control in a dynamic, international environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Electrical/Automation/Maritime/Marine Engineering/Mechatronics/Systems Engineering).
• 3–5 years of experience in managing technical projects preferred.
• Strong planning, communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Own technical projects from installation to delivery on vessels.
• Prepare and manage project plans with customers and internal teams.
• Coordinate information, components and resources for successful system installation.

Inthisrole,youcombinetechnicalunderstandingwithproject management.Youtranslate customerneedsandvesselrequirementsintoaclearplan,arrangetheright information,alignstakeholdersandkeepprogress,quality, budgetandplanningundercontrol.

Youwillworkwith Triton ,Damen’sremote monitoring platform.Thissystemcollectsandanalysesoperationalvesseldata,givingshipownersinsightintofuelconsumption,emissions,utilizationandperformance.Yourworkdirectlyhelpscustomersoperatetheirfleetsin asmarter, moresustainableandmoreprofitableway.

Whatyouwilldo

Youtakeownershipoftechnicalprojectsfortheinstallationanddelivery of Triton on boardvessels.Youprepareandmanage projectplans,alignrequirementswithcustomersandinternalteams,arrangetechnicalinput, monitorprogressandmakesurethesystemcanbeinstalledsafelyandefficiently.

Yourprojectsarevaried.Onemomentyouarediscussingvesseldata,networkinterfaces orinstallationrequirementswith engineering. The next,youarealigningplanning, scope, budget or contract changes withcustomers,suppliersandcommercialcolleagues.Youarethepersonwhobringsstructure,keepsstakeholdersinformedandturnstechnicalcomplexityintoaworkableproject approach.

Yourmainresponsibilities

• Managetechnicalprojectsfromacceptancetodelivery.




• Create, updateandmonitor projectplanswith newbuildproject managers,contractorsandotherstakeholders.




• Defineandoptimizeproject scope, deliverables, budgetsandplanningtogetherwithcustomersandcommercialcolleagues.




• Coordinatetheinformation,componentsandresourcesneededforsuccessfulsysteminstallation.




• Stayin close contact withsuppliers,customers, engineering, salesandproject teams.




• Identifyrisks, bottlenecksandimprovementopportunities,andtake actionwhereneeded.




• Prepareprojectevaluationsandreport ontechnical, financialandprocessperformance.




• Draftandmanage contractvariationswhenscope, planning or deliverables change.

Whatyoubring

• A bachelor’s degree ina technical fieldsuch as Electrical Engineering, Automation, Maritime Technology, Marine Engineering, Mechatronics or Systems Engineering. Experience with ship systems, industrialautomationor technical project delivery is a strong advantage, not a must.




• Build strongrelationshipsaccrossdisciplines, create alignment and trust




• 3to5yearsof experience in managingtechnicalprojects.




• Strong planningandorganizingskills, withtheabilitytokeep complexprojectsmoving.




• A practical,collaborativemindsetandthecuriositytolearnnewtechnicaltopics.




• Excellent communication skills in Dutch and Englishwith confidence and empathy able to translate complex matters into cleardecisions. You need to be able to influence without authority
