Damen Shipyards Group is seeking a Technical Project Manager for Remote Monitoring to lead installation, delivery and handover of Triton on board vessels. You will align customer requirements with engineering and commercial teams, manage plans, budgets and resources, and ensure safe, efficient system installations in a dynamic, global environment.
You will work within Damen Digital Solutions, contributing to on-board automation, remote monitoring and simulations for sustainable vessel
Do you want to lead technical projects that bring smart remote monitoring technology on board vessels? As Technical Project Manager Remote Monitoring, you make sure our Triton system is installed, connected and delivered successfully. You coordinate the full process from project kick-off to handover, working closely with customers, engineers, suppliers, sales colleagues and project teams.
In this role, you combine technical understanding with project management. You translate customer needs and vessel requirements into a clear plan, arrange the right information, align stakeholders and keep progress, quality, budget and planning under control.
You will work with Triton, Damen’s remote monitoring platform. This system collects and analyses operational vessel data, giving shipowners insight into fuel consumption, emissions, utilisation and performance. Your work directly helps customers operate their fleets in a smarter, more sustainable and more profitable way.
Damen Digital Solutions is a growing team of around 30 professionals within the Damen Group. We focus on on-board automation, remote monitoring and simulations, all contributing to the future of digital and increasingly autonomous vessel operations.
You take ownership of technical projects for the installation and delivery of Triton on board vessels. You prepare and manage project plans, align requirements with customers and internal teams, arrange technical input, monitor progress and make sure the system can be installed safely and efficiently.
Your projects are varied. One moment you are discussing vessel data, network interfaces or installation requirements with engineering. The next, you are aligning planning, scope, budget or contract changes with customers, suppliers and commercial colleagues. You are the person who brings structure, keeps stakeholders informed and turns technical complexity into a workable project approach.
A bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as Electrical Engineering, Automation, Maritime Technology, Marine Engineering, Mechatronics or Systems Engineering. Experience with ship systems, industrial automation or technical project delivery is a strong advantage, not a must.
At Damen, you work on technology that matters, in a company that invests in people and innovation. For full-time employment, we offer:
