Job summary

PHIX is seeking a Technical Project Manager to oversee customer projects in the photonics field. You will coordinate mechanical, PCB, photonic packaging and optical engineers, manage risks, and drive successful delivery while maintaining strong client relationships.

You will lead about five projects concurrently for one client, ensuring rigorous documentation and process improvement, reporting to stakeholders, and advancing PHIX’s growth in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.

Qualifications

• MSc degree in Photonics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in project management of product development or R&D projects.
• Proficiency in applying Six Sigma in product development and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Managing customer projects and serving as the primary point of contact for PHIX.
• Identifying critical aspects of product and process development to mitigate project risks.
• Documenting relevant lessons learned and areas for continuous improvement.
• Leading approximately five projects simultaneously for a single customer.
• Facilitating effective communication between clients, teams, and colleagues, both internally and externally.
• Ensuring comprehensive documentation in the project management tool (TW project).

You excel in managing multiple projects and teams concurrently, composed of mechanical engineers, PCB layout engineers, photonic packaging engineers, and optical engineers. Your dedication to project management and your ability to lead diverse teams will be invaluable in driving the success of our projects and maintaining strong client relationships.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Managing customer projects and serving as the primary point of contact for PHIX.
