Your exact tasks depend on the technical role that suits you best. One thing is certain: you will help build impressive transformers that eventually become part of energy networks around the world. This technical organization in Nijmegen develops and produces large power transformers for the international energy market. At its modern production site, around 400 employees work every day on products that play an important role in the energy supply.

The production process consists of several technical departments. This includes making and assembling windings, building the internal parts of transformers, electrical and mechanical assembly, and preparing transformers for transport. This means there are different opportunities for technical talent, and together you can find the type of work that best matches your experience and interests.

Função

You start your shift in the production department and discuss with your colleagues what needs to be done that day. You are not working on a small product that can be finished in a few minutes, but on a large transformer that different skilled workers build step by step. You take care of the technical work within your department and make sure everything is ready for the next step in the production process.

Depending on the role you join, your work may include assembling and mounting components, making and processing windings, electrical wiring, or dismantling and preparing transformers for transport. You work with technical drawings, tools, and different lifting equipment. During your work, you regularly check that all components are correctly assembled and meet the required quality standards.

Since there are several technical departments, your position is not decided in advance. During the first video interview, your technical background, experience, and preferences will be discussed. Together, you will then decide which available technical position is the best match for you.

For this technical position, the most important thing is that you enjoy practical work and are willing to learn the job properly. In addition:

• You have technical skills gained through technical education, relevant work experience, a hobby, or personal interest;
• You are open to different working schedules, including day shifts, 2‑shift, 2.5‑shift, and 3‑shift schedules;
• You are comfortable working at heights of up to approximately 12 metres;
• You are comfortable working in small or enclosed spaces;
• You work accurately and pay attention to quality and safety;
• You are looking for a long‑term position;
• You are willing to complete an extensive training programme of approximately one year;
• You can work well with colleagues in a technical production environment.
