Introduction

A large transformer is built step by step, and you will be working on an important part of it: the winding set. You will insulate, bend, finish, and check that everything is correct before the product moves on in the process. As a Winding Technician, you will work on technically advanced products that will ultimately be used in energy grids worldwide. Do you have technical insight and an eye for quality? Organization

This organization is active in transformer technology and develops technical solutions that play an important role in tomorrow's energy supply. At the modern production facility in Nijmegen, approximately 400 colleagues work daily on large transformers, with quality, safety, and innovation at the core.

You will be working in the Coil Winding department. Here, windings are assembled into complete winding sets for transformers. Within this department, the focus is on craftsmanship, precision work, and good collaboration with colleagues. There is also room to contribute ideas for improvements in the work process.

Function

As a Coil Winding Technician, you will work on preparing, assembling, and finishing windings. You will be involved in tasks such as insulating, bending, and tailoring leads. You will also apply insulating materials and install components such as keys, cylinders, caps, and collars.

During the process, you will guide the oven process and press windings to achieve the correct dimensions. Afterwards, you will further finish the windings and prepare them for assembly. Finally, you will assemble complete winding sets and press them into a good finished product.

Because you work with large technical products, you move windings with overhead cranes. Additionally, you perform visual quality checks and work according to safety and hygiene guidelines. Together with your colleagues, you ensure that each component is carefully assembled and ready for the next step in the production process.
