Job summary

The Technical & EHS Lead at Avery Dennison champions a robust safety culture and drives employee engagement across the Zoeterwoude site to achieve enhanced safety performance. You will own the development and delivery of best-in-class safety training while collaborating across functions, with a hands-on shop floor presence and no direct reports.

The role requires traveling bi-weekly to Almere and Helmond, and overseeing EHS activities for multiple Netherlands sites, including safety governance

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental Engineering/ Science, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar EHS or H&S role within a manufacturing environment with a strong EHS and ELS (Enterprise Lean System / Continuous Improvement) mindset.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of EHS regulatory requirements, policies, procedures, and programs with a strong focus on the Netherlands.
  • Proven experience with life safety codes, EHS rules, HAZOP, training, principles of occupational safety and health, and Process Safety Management.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence teams without direct authority and a willingness to travel bi‑weekly to other Dutch locations.
  • Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English.
  • Must be based in the Netherlands and authorized to work without sponsorship

This role requires a collaborative, proactive individual who can partner effectively across all functions, adapt to the dynamic manufacturing environment, and own the development and delivery of a best‑in‑class safety training program and culture. While not directly managing a team, you will act as a key influencer across other teams, maintaining a hands‑on presence on the shopfloor to ensure the highest standards are met.

The salary range for this role is 46,200 - 73,920 EUR / year.
