Job summary

Strativ Group in the Netherlands seeks a Technical Documentation / S1000D Specialist to develop and maintain technical publications for aerospace platforms, leveraging S1000D standards and IETMs. You will collaborate with Engineering, ILS, and Programme teams to ensure accuracy and compliance across the lifecycle.

Responsibilities include managing revisions, supporting CSDB and XML authoring environments, and aligning publications with engineering data and product changes.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years' experience developing technical documentation using S1000D.
• Experience producing IETMs or managing documentation throughout the product lifecycle.
• Understanding of Configuration Management.
• Experience in highly regulated industries such as Aerospace, Defence, Aviation, Rail, Marine, or Automotive.
• Knowledge of CSDB and XML authoring tools.
• ILS knowledge advantageous.
• Strong written communication skills with excellent attention to detail.

• Review and verify documentation produced by internal teams and external suppliers.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure technical accuracy and documentation quality.
• Support customer reviews, audits, engineering change management, and configuration control activities.
• Help develop documentation standards, processes, and best practices as the organisation grows.

Are you passionate about creating high-quality technical documentation that supports complex engineering systems throughout their entire lifecycle?

We're partnering with an innovative aerospace organisation looking for a Technical Documentation / S1000D Specialist to play a key role in developing and maintaining world-class technical publications for advanced aerospace platforms.

Working closely with Engineering, Configuration Management, Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), and Programme teams, you'll help establish best practices for technical documentation while ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance across the full product lifecycle.

What you'll be doing

• Develop and maintain technical documentation in line with S1000D standards.
• Produce operator manuals, maintenance manuals, illustrated parts catalogues (IPCs), and other technical publications.
• Manage document revisions, updates, and change control throughout the product lifecycle.
• Ensure technical publications remain aligned with engineering data, configuration baselines, and product changes.
• Support the implementation and management of Common Source Databases (CSDB) and XML-based authoring environments.
• Review and verify documentation produced by internal teams and external suppliers.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure technical accuracy and documentation quality.
• Support customer reviews, audits, engineering change management, and configuration control activities.
• Help develop documentation standards, processes, and best practices as the organisation continues to grow.

What we're looking for

• 2–4 years' experience developing technical documentation using S1000D.
• Experience producing Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs) or managing technical documentation throughout the product lifecycle.
• Understanding of Configuration Management principles.
• Experience working within highly regulated industries such as Aerospace, Defence, Aviation, Rail, Marine, or Automotive.
• Experience with Common Source Databases (CSDB) and XML authoring tools is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) would be advantageous.
• Strong written communication skills with excellent attention to detail.
