Technical Advisor - Foundation Specialist
Bring your expertise to the most demanding challenges in offshore foundation engineering.
Complex offshore projects need people who can look beyond established methods, make sound technical judgments, and turn new ideas into practical solutions.
As a Technical Advisor - Foundation Specialist, you will help shape how offshore foundations are engineered and installed. Working alongside the Foundation Engineering Discipline Lead, you will provide expert guidance on complex engineering challenges, support critical technical decisions, and advance technologies that strengthen the company's long-term capabilities.
This is an opportunity to make an impact through your technical expertise, influence, and ability to connect engineering detail with the bigger picture.
Where you will make an impact
- Provide technical direction. Guide the development and validation of safe, reliable foundation installation methods and procedures for work in fabrication yards and offshore.
- Advise on complex challenges. Support engineers and management with clear, well-founded recommendations on multidisciplinary engineering questions and strategic technology choices.
- Turn innovation into practice. Develop and deliver technology initiatives, assess alternative solutions, and challenge established approaches where improvements are possible.
- Balance technical and commercial priorities. Evaluate solutions against safety, reliability, cost, and risk, while managing approved engineering and development budgets.
- Strengthen future capabilities. Identify gaps in technical knowledge and readiness, and initiate improvements that prepare the organisation for upcoming challenges.
- Connect expertise across the industry. Represent the company in technical forums and partnerships, and oversee specialist subcontracted work.
- Share your knowledge. Mentor less experienced engineers and help teams apply technical insights to practical project decisions.
What you will bring
You combine deep technical knowledge with practical judgment. You enjoy being the person others turn to when the engineering challenge is complex, and you can explain your recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Your background includes:
