Job summary

FairPlay Engineering in Rotterdam seeks a Telecom Specialist to design, develop, and optimize telecommunications for offshore facilities, ensuring reliable communications for operations, safety, and emergency response.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team to produce detailed engineering documents and integrate CCTV, Radio Systems, PAGA, satellite communications, and data networks. The role emphasizes offshore standards compliance and collaboration with other engineering disciplines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in offshore telecom or instrumentation engineering.
  • Extensive knowledge of telecom systems including CCTV, Radio Systems, PAGA, and offshore communication infrastructure.
  • Experience using CAD software and engineering design tools.
  • Strong understanding of offshore engineering standards and best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Design and engineer telecom systems for offshore platforms and energy facilities.
  • Prepare detailed engineering documentation, drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Develop solutions for CCTV, Radio Systems, PAGA, and other telecom infrastructure.

  • Ensure designs comply with offshore regulations, client specifications, and industry standards.
  • Collaborate closely with electrical, instrumentation, and process engineering teams throughout project execution.
  • Participate in technical reviews and provide specialist support during engineering and project phases.

What Will You Do?

As a Telecom Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing telecommunications systems for offshore facilities. Working within a multidisciplinary engineering team, you will ensure reliable communication solutions that support offshore operations, safety, and emergency response.
