Job summary

Basic-Fit Nederland is seeking a data platform leader to own and advance the Databricks platform, across architecture, implementation, and governance. You will steer BI reporting evolution with Power BI and coordinate cross-team delivery with Data Eng, BI, Data Science and Analytics.

You will stay ahead on Databricks and Azure features, drive AI-driven data improvements, and partner with a Product Owner to deliver on a clear data roadmap.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a tech lead or senior data platform role.
• Deep Databricks expertise and Azure data ecosystem knowledge.
• Strong BI and reporting architecture experience (Power BI or similar).
• Experience with data governance, quality frameworks, and observability.
• Ability to plan and coordinate cross-team projects with clear timelines.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver Databricks platform developments from architecture to hands-on implementation.
• Design and upgrade BI reporting tools to meet evolving business needs.
• Lead delivery planning for cross-team projects across Data Engineering, BI, Data Science and Analytics.
• Evaluate and improve Databricks setup following best practices.
• Stay ahead of new Databricks and Microsoft data features and adoption opportunities.
• Drive cross-platform AI agent integration to accelerate data delivery value.
• Own data-related project planning with timelines aligned to the roadmap.
• Champion data governance and data quality across the platform.
