Job summary
Basic-Fit is seeking a Data Platform Engineer to join the central Data Platform Team in Hoofddorp. You will build and optimize batch and streaming pipelines in Databricks, collaborate with analysts to improve self-service reporting, and automate daily tasks using AI while migrating legacy pipelines to a modern Databricks platform.

Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with Databricks (1+ year)
- Understanding of batch vs streaming data processing
- Strong SQL, PySpark, and Python skills
- Experience building data pipelines (e.g. with Azure Data Factory)
- Awareness of data quality, governance, and scalability
- Interest in AI and building agents; willingness to automate
- Proficient in English communication
- Experience with Power BI or reporting tools is a plus
Responsibilities
- Build batch and streaming pipelines in Databricks
- Continuously improve Databricks platform and stay current with tech
- Collaborate with analysts to improve self-service reporting
- Automate day-to-day work using AI capabilities
