Zusammenfassung

Basic-Fit is seeking a Senior Data Platform Engineer to shape the data platform powering millions of workouts across Europe. You’ll join the central Data Platform Team, design and build scalable pipelines, and co-own architectural decisions while mentoring others.

You will drive performance, governance and cost optimization, migrate legacy pipelines to Databricks, and evaluate new capabilities to take them to production in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifikationen

• 3+ years of hands-on Databricks experience in production.
• Strong SQL, PySpark and Python with maintainable, tested code.
• Experience building and running production pipelines (batch and streaming).
• Experience with CI/CD and infrastructure as code (Azure DevOps, Terraform, Databricks Asset Bundles).
• Solid knowledge of data modelling, governance, security and cost optimisation on a cloud data platform.
• Experience contributing to architectural decisions or migrations and explaining trade-offs.
• Excellent communication skills in English; mentoring others is a bonus.

Aufgaben

• Design and build scalable batch and streaming pipelines.
• Own architectural decisions and set standards for engineering, CI/CD and platform best practices.
• Lead migration of legacy pipelines to modern Databricks platform.
• Drive performance, cost, governance and reliability across the platform.
• Evaluate and introduce new Databricks capabilities and take them from idea to production.
• Share knowledge through code reviews and pairing.
