Job summary

At Nedap, the Tech Area Lead Data shapes the data vision for the Livestock domain, guiding data platforms, tooling and pipelines. You will align data disciplines and coach teams, ensuring scalable, high-quality data solutions.

You will lead a cross-functional group including Data Scientists, Data Engineers and Computer Vision Engineers, driving the data strategy within CaptainsXL and the Technical Leadership Team.

Qualifications

• Data experience: at least 5 years in Data Science and/or Data Engineering; able to coach colleagues.
• Leadership: at least 3 years in leadership/coaching roles; steer teams and staff development.
• Architecture & strategy: translate vision into long-term roadmaps and concrete decisions.
• Language: strong English; Dutch is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Shape the technical vision and strategy for data within Livestock and drive roadmaps for data platforms and pipelines.
• Ensure coherence, scalability, and future-proofing of data-related technical choices.
• Provide guidance to data disciplines and align team work with the Data vision.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Data Analysts and Computer Vision Engineers to derive insights.
• Lead sustainable, high-quality data solutions and repeatable development methods.
