Job summary

AWL in the Netherlands is seeking a Production Team Leader to drive a team of 15-20 employees including project coordinators, technicians and robotic welders in a high-tech, international setting. You will translate project requirements into workforce and capacity plans, monitor progress, and identify bottlenecks before they impact delivery.

Responsibilities

• Translate project schedules into realistic workforce and capacity plans.
• Monitor progress and adjust staffing levels at internal and customer sites.
• Identify bottlenecks in planning, capacity, materials, and progress.
• Scale external resources up or down to meet project demands.
• Support the Operational Planner with capacity planning challenges.
• Ensure optimal staffing levels and employee development plans.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives on lead time, quality, planning and productivity.
• Advise management on department development and long-term continuity.

What Do We Expect

About This Vacancy

As a Production Team Leader, you will lead a team of 15-20 employees consisting of project coordinators, technicians and robotic welders. You translate project requirements into realistic workforce and capacity plans, monitor progress, and identify bottlenecks before they impact delivery.

You Will Be Responsible For

• Translating project schedules into realistic workforce and capacity plans, while monitoring and adjusting project staffing levels both internally and at customer sites;
• Identifying and resolving bottlenecks related to planning, capacity, materials, and project progress;
• Scaling external resources up or down in a timely manner to meet project demands;
• Supporting the Operational Planner with complex capacity planning and workforce-related challenges;
• Ensuring optimal staffing levels, workspace organization, and employee development plans;
• Analyzing deviations, disruptions, and recurring issues within the production process;
• Initiating, leading, and embedding continuous improvement initiatives focused on lead time, quality, planning, productivity, and operational processes;
• Advising management on department development, capacity planning, and long-term continuity.
