Job summary

MYLAPS Sports Technology, based in Haarlem, The Netherlands, seeks a Teamlead Software Development to guide two backend-focused teams—Active Sports and our Results Platforms (Speedhive and Sporthive). You will own project delivery, recruit, and coach engineers, ensuring high-quality technical decisions and growth.

The role involves leading with a strong emphasis on people management, and occasional travel to events to understand the real-world impact of the software.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on software engineering experience.
• Experience leading one or more software development teams.
• Ability to report and explain ongoing projects to internal and external stakeholders.
• Able to challenge and reason with the team on technical solutions.
• Strong (technical) communication skills in English (Dutch is a plus).
• Strong stakeholder management and coaching skills.
• Passion for technology and sport.

Responsibilities

• Lead two software teams of 5 and 6 people with full ownership.
• Manage ongoing projects, recruitment, and people growth.
• Guide, coach and challenge developers in making right technical decisions.
• Occasionally visit sporting events to understand software impact and accuracy.
