Job summary

Vitestro, based in Utrecht, seeks a Systems Engineer to own key functions across the device lifecycle. You’ll translate feature requests into function and sub-system requirements, guiding mechanical, electrical, software and industrialization teams toward manufacturable, reliable designs.

You will lead multi-disciplinary projects, coach engineers, and drive improvements with suppliers, preparing the device for scalable production and ongoing reliability in a growing global healthcare robotics

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical/electrical/mechatronics or equivalent.
• 5+ years in design & development of mechatronic devices.
• Experience with industrialization and DFx for manufacturability.
• Led multi-disciplinary design projects and mentored engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-disciplinary design projects across functions.
• Coach discipline engineers and set quality standards.
• Translate system requirements into function breakdowns and interfaces.
• Design for manufacturability across sheet metal, plastics, machining.
• Integrate electromechanical, fluidic and sensing content with reliability.
• Lead verifications and validations at function and system level.
• Collaborate with suppliers to implement design and process improvements.
• Monitor function performance using field data and standards.
