Job summary

Vitestro in Utrecht, Netherlands, is pioneering autonomous robotic phlebotomy and healthcare robotics. As a medior C++ software engineer, you will own software components for hardware-integrated systems, designing, implementing and improving robust C++ software that interacts with multiple subsystems in real time.

You will collaborate with hardware and systems engineers to ensure reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 4–7 years of experience developing C++ software in a professional environment.
• Proven experience designing and maintaining production-level software systems.
• Strong proficiency in modern C++ (C++17/20).

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of software components within hardware-integrated systems.
• Ensure system reliability, maintainability, and performance.
• Work on new features in the scope of the motion team.

Vitestro is active in pioneering the future of blood collection with the Aletta® Autonomous Robotic Phlebotomy Device™ (ARPD™). Founded in 2017 in Utrecht, the company combines advanced multi-modal imaging with robotics and AI to perform diagnostic blood draws autonomously, addressing healthcare staffing shortages and enhancing patient experiences.

As a medior C++ software engineer, you will take ownership of software components within our hardware-integrated systems. You will design, implement, and improve robust C++ software that interacts with multiple subsystems and real-time environments. Collaborating closely with hardware engineers, systems engineers, and other software developers, you will ensure system reliability, maintainability, and performance, contributing to the innovative work at Vitestro.
