Job summary

Single Quantum in Delft, Netherlands, is hiring a System Test Engineer for our optics lab to join the test team at our headquarters. The role is full-time and based on-site, starting mid-September/October, with a focus on hands-on characterization of detectors and systems.

You will perform optical/electrical characterization of SNSPDs, validate system performance, troubleshoot issues, and work with cross-functional teams to ship high-quality detectors worldwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or HBO degree in Physics, Optics, Photonics, Nanotechnology, or equivalent.
• Precise working attitude and strong communication skills.
• Able to work independently and meet deadlines.
• English fluency and passion for physics.

Responsibilities

• Conduct optical and electrical characterization of SNSPDs using lab equipment.
• Validate performance and quality of complete systems.
• Troubleshoot issues and maintain characterization setups.
• Mount detectors and evaluate cryostat performance.
• Collaborate with Sales, Detector Testing, Cryostat, and Development teams.
• Communicate progress and ensure timely delivery to customers worldwide.
• Help evolve lab processes for efficiency and quality.
