Job summary

Collins McNicholas Group is seeking a System Test Engineer in Eindhoven, Holland, to hands-on assemble and test precision modules for advanced lithography systems. You will diagnose faults, keep meticulous records and ensure delivery to exacting quality standards.

The role requires a relevant engineering degree, 1–5 years of experience, fluent English and willingness to work a five‑shift cycle including mornings, evenings and nights. A proactive, collaborative approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in applied physics, aerospace, mechanical engineering, mechatronics, automotive engineering or related field.
• 1–5 years of relevant hands-on experience.
• Willingness to work across a shift pattern (2 mornings, 2 evenings, 2 nights, then 4 days off).
• Experience diagnosing complex equipment and system assembly, testing and troubleshooting.
• Analytical, methodical and proactive with good cross-disciplinary collaboration.
• Fluent spoken and written English.

Overview:

Our client is a leading high-tech engineering and manufacturing company headquartered in Eindhoven, Holland. They design and manufacture mission critical electronics, software and mechatronic systems for their clients who are leaders in sectors such as aviation, semiconductor and energy.

We are currently working in conjunction with them looking to hire a System Test Engineer for their growing team in Holland. Work hands-on with precision modules for advanced lithography systems used in microchip manufacturing. You will assemble, adjust and test complex modules, investigate faults and help deliver reliable products to demanding quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Assemble, adjust, test and prepare high-tech modules for delivery in line with specifications and deadlines.
• Follow current processes and work instructions, organise your work and complete assigned tasks efficiently.
• Investigate disturbances, resolve issues and help prevent recurrence.
• Maintain complete technical records and an organised, safe cleanroom workplace.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues and share knowledge and practical improvements.

Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree in applied physics, aerospace, mechanical engineering, mechatronics, automotive engineering or a related field.
• At least 1-5years of relevant experience depending on education including hands on work experience.
• Must be willing to work across a shift pattern with this to be confirmed (Outlined below)
• Experience diagnosing complex equipment and a strong affinity for system assembly, testing and troubleshooting.
• An analytical, methodical and proactive approach; confidence collaborating across technical disciplines.
• Fluent spoken and written English and a willingness to share knowledge and keep learning.
• Five-shift cycle: two morning shifts (07:00–15:30), two evening shifts (15:00–23:30), two night shifts (23:00–07:30), followed by four days off; repeated every ten days.
