Job summary

OTTO Work Force is recruiting Testing Engineers for our client in ’s-Hertogenbosch, the Netherlands. This on-site, full-time role focuses on testing, troubleshooting and supporting computer hardware components and production systems.

You will perform quality control on motherboards and server hardware, flash firmware, run stress tests and assist with ECO/rework activities while collaborating with production teams. Fluency in English is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technical field.
• 2+ years of relevant testing experience.
• Good knowledge of computer hardware and software.
• Experience with hardware testing, troubleshooting or debugging is advantageous.
• Knowledge of Windows, Linux or DOS is beneficial.
• Experience with firmware, motherboards, PCBA or server hardware is highly relevant.
• Good command of English.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming quality control on motherboards, add-on cards, riser cards, memory and backplanes.
• Conduct visual inspections and functional tests on hardware components and production systems.
• Flash firmware on hardware components.
• Identify faults and determine root causes of failed components.
• Participate in ECO and rework activities.
• Develop scripts or batch files for testing.
• Perform stress tests and other production product tests.
• Support system testing and debugging, collaborating with production teams.

OTTO Work Force is recruiting Testing Engineers for our client in ’s-Hertogenbosch, the Netherlands.

Our client is a global provider of advanced server, storage and networking solutions used in data centers, cloud computing, enterprise IT, HPC and other high performance technology environments.

What will you do?

As a Testing Engineer, you will be responsible for testing, troubleshooting and supporting computer hardware components and production systems.

Your responsibilities include:

• Performing incoming quality control on motherboards, add-on cards, riser cards, memory and backplanes


• Performing visual inspections and functional tests


• Flashing firmware on hardware components


• Identifying faults and determining root causes of failed components


• Performing ECO and rework activities


• Developing scripts or batch files for testing


• Performing stress tests and other production product tests


• Supporting system testing and debugging


• Providing technical support to the production line


• Completing additional technical tasks when required

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related technical field is preferred


• Around 2+ years of relevant technical/testing experience is preferred


• Good knowledge of computer hardware and software


• Experience with hardware testing, troubleshooting or debugging is an advantage


• Knowledge of Windows, Linux or DOS is beneficial


• Experience with firmware, motherboards, PCBA or server hardware is highly relevant


• Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools is an advantage


• Basic scripting or batch-file experience is beneficial


• Good communication skills in English


• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills


• Responsible, proactive and comfortable working in a fast-paced testing environment


• Must hold a valid EU passport or otherwise have the legal right to work in the Netherlands without employer visa or work-permit sponsorship

Openings are currently available across different schedules:

• Morning: 06:30 – 14:30


• Swing: 14:30 – 22:30


• Day/B91: 07:30 – 16:00

This is a full time, on site position in ’s-Hertogenbosch.
