Job summary

Science & Technology Corporation in Delft is seeking a System Engineer to lead electronics and electrical architecture from concept to realization within multidisciplinary teams.

You will define requirements, develop system architecture, design hardware (schematics and PCBA) and embed software, and verify integration across mechanical, software, and electronics domains while coaching junior engineers.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in electronic system engineering or a similar role.
• Experience with defining requirements and developing system architecture.
• Experience with detailed hardware design (including schematic design and PCBA design) and embedded software development.
• Experience with system integration, verification, and validation.
• Experience with preparing and maintaining technical documentation, such as requirements, design specifications, test plans, and reports.
• Strong communication skills to work effectively.

Responsibilities

• Design and realize the electronic and electrical architecture from concept to realization.
• Collaborate in a multidisciplinary team and coordinate with embedded software and mechanics.
• Provide coaching and guidance to junior colleagues as needed.
• Ensure interfaces between mechanics, embedded software, and electronics are well defined and maintained.

Job description

We are currently looking for a System Engineerto join theteam in Delft.

As a system engineer electronics, you areresponsible for the electronics and electrical architecture within projects,from concept to realization. You always work together in a multidisciplinaryteam. The projects range from developing products in the semiconductor industryto systems in aerospace.

As a system engineer, you are alreadyinvolved early on during the specification and concept phase of the project.This is where your conceptual and analytical skills really come into play. Youtalk with the client and, in consultation with the architect and your team,come up with a set of requirements. You ensure that the subsequent architecturein your discipline aligns with the rest of the system. You are also primarilyresponsible for the realization of the electronic and electrical designs. Youkeep an eye on the connection with embedded software. You guide the more juniorcolleagues and support them in a coaching role.

In the detailed phase and during assemblyand testing, you monitor the work around the electronics. You work closely withthe rest of the team to create a system that can be built and verified. Theinterfaces between mechanics, embedded software, and electronics play animportant role in this. Communication and collaboration are very important toachieve a great result together.
