Job summary

SkyTeam is seeking a Sustainability Manager to lead and coordinate its sustainability programs, including The Aviation Challenge, delivering value to member airlines and partners by accelerating innovation and sharing knowledge.

You will design end-to-end programs, manage stakeholder engagement across international teams, and oversee digital platforms, communications, events, and broader sustainability initiatives in a dynamic, office-based setting in Amstelveen.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree with minimum 5 years experience in sustainability or aviation, or related field.
• Experience in aviation industry and/or sustainability initiatives preferred.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple workstreams and external suppliers.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills with airline partners and senior stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal English; Dutch desired but not required.

Responsibilities

• Design, deliver and govern end-to-end sustainability programs (e.g., The Aviation Challenge).
• Coordinate budgets, timelines, risks, governance, and contracts across multiple stakeholders.
• Engage member airlines and partners, manage onboarding/offboarding and ongoing guidance.
• Develop and share knowledge through task forces, workshops, and events; curate resources.
• Oversee digital channels and product backlog related to sustainability programs; ensure cost efficiency.
• Support participant acquisition and engagement, develop narratives on program impact.
