Job summary

Vanderlande seeks a Sustainability Engineer to support Distribution Sales with technical sustainability expertise, LCAs, environmental data and customer-specific requirements.

You will translate complex analyses into clear content for quotations, tenders and presentations, collaborate with international sales and engineering teams, and help strengthen Vanderlande's position in sustainable warehouse automation solutions. Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Sustainability, Environmental Engineering, Energy Technology, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 2–5 years in sustainability, Life Cycle Assessment, environmental engineering, sustainability consulting or a similar technical discipline.
• Strong knowledge of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), carbon footprinting and environmental impact assessment methodologies.
• Experience with sustainability datasets including emission factors, material data, energy data and EPDs.
• Strong Excel and data management skills.
• Ability to translate technical sustainability concepts into concise content for customers and sales teams.
• Experience supporting tenders, questionnaires, RFPs or similar activities is a plus.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal English communication.
• Collaborate effectively with international teams.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, passion for sustainable impact.

Responsibilities

• Acting as the central point of contact for sustainability questions from customers and the global Sales community.
• Translating technical sustainability information into clear, accurate responses for quotations, tenders, and documentation.
• Conducting and coordinating LCAs and supporting the development of sustainability methodologies and tools.
• Supporting sales teams in preparing and facilitating sustainability workshops and customer discussions.
• Developing sustainability content for proposals, presentations, tenders and commercial discussions.
• Maintaining and improving sustainability databases with quality, consistency and traceability.
• Integrating sustainability data into AI-driven dashboards and ensuring data accuracy.
• Managing environmental data such as material information, emission factors, energy data and EPDs.
• Translating complex sustainability analyses into clear fact sheets, reports for commercial audiences.
• Driving continuous improvement of sustainability processes and tools within the Sales Support Office.
