Internship Details

• Period: ~6 months (minimum of 4 months)
• Hours per week: 40
• Location: Accenture main office in Amsterdam
• Start date: the first day of each month

Internship Overview

Look for an internship combining consulting, engineering, and IT in a fast‑moving environment. You will support leading industrial companies on real transformation projects and work on a research assignment covering strategy, process improvement, and technology implementation.

Teams

• PES – Product Engineering and Servicing: Focus on R&D, product design, lifecycle systems and sustainability.
• M&O – Manufacturing and Operations: Digital manufacturing, intelligent asset management, and capital projects in utilities.

Daily Tasks

Collaborate with colleagues to conduct thesis research and assignment. Your research focuses on challenges or opportunities at our clients, with the aim to define new business solutions or opportunities.

Research Areas – PES

• Defining R&D strategies: Shape long‑term vision and roadmap for R&D and digital transformation.
• Improving engineering and business processes: Redesign product development processes through workshops, interviews, and practical improvements.
• Implementing digital solutions: Support rollout of technologies such as PLM platforms and AI‑enabled solutions.
• Driving sustainability initiatives: Set up frameworks, processes, and insights to help companies reach sustainability goals.

Research Areas – M&O

• Intelligent Asset Management: Create data‑driven solutions such as predictive maintenance to improve efficiency and sustainability.
• Capital Projects in Utilities: Develop solutions and strategies for new infrastructure, grid congestion management, and asset performance optimisation.
• Digital Manufacturing: Explore digitisation, optimisation, and digital transformation of core manufacturing processes.

Requirements

• Near completion of a master’s at a Dutch university; seeking work experience in SC&E.
• Passion for new technologies in engineering or manufacturing, keen to work strategically or technically.
• Fluent in English and/or Dutch.
• Aspiring to a career in consulting and digital business transformations.
• Team player, professional, precise, and capable of working independently with a proactive mindset.
