Accenture Strategy & Consulting in Amsterdam offers a 4–6 month Supply Chain internship alongside your master’s thesis. You will split time between project work and research while being immersed in a collaborative, client-focused environment.

You will gain exposure to transforming supply chains with digital tools, AI, and sustainable practices, supported by mentorship and real client impact.

Qualifications

• Masters student enrolled at a Dutch university for the full internship duration.

This is a thesis internship, next to working on your thesis you are encouraged to work on projects or internal activities, for a fully dedicated working internship

Internship details:

• Period 4 – 6 months
• Hours per week32 – 40
• Location ITO office, Amsterdam
• Office presence required: 3 days in the week

During this Supply Chain internship, you will get the chance to bring the digital possibilities to transform our clients’ operations into customer centric supply chains while writing your thesis!

• Team Supply Chain & Operations is a crucial part of the Strategy & Consulting practice. The team plays a vital role in transforming the supply chains and operations of Fortune 500 companies in the Netherlands and around the world into future-ready, resilient, autonomous, and circular networks. We work across all aspects of the supply chain – from planning and fulfillment to sourcing, procurement, and manufacturing – helping clients solve complex business challenges through strategy development, process optimization, sustainable logistics solutions, and digital capabilities, while creating positive impact for business, society, and the planet.
• Daily tasks As a Supply Chain Intern, you will get the chance to experience working as a consultant within Accenture, learn about the projects we do and see the impact we’re making for our clients. Through interactions with our colleagues, you’ll learn about their personal experiences, immerse yourself in our company culture, and participate in exciting company events.
• Research As a master’s thesis intern, you will embark on research projects focused on cutting-edge technologies and topics that are currently top of mind for supply chain executives. You will receive guidance and coaching from our experienced consultants, while benefiting from our vast industry and client experience. Potential research topics include leveraging (generative) AI in Supply Chain Planning, future looking resiliency assessments, Autonomous sourcing, near-shoring impact on Supply chain design, Generative AI on Supply Chain Management, or other technologies influencing Sustainable Supply Chains. A specific topic will be co-created based on input by industry leaders and academic relevance, and suggestions based on your interests are highly welcomed.

Here’s What You’ll Need

• You are currently a master's student enrolled at a Dutch university for the full length of your internship, preferably in the field of Supply Chain, Sourcing & Procurement, Transportation, Engineering or Logistics or in Management/Business administration (with strong interest or courses in Supply chain & Operations/ Sourcing & Procurement)
• You are a proactive, driven person who wants to grow
• Eager to get to know Accenture as an organization
• Excellent communication skills (Dutch and English)
• High grades (average > 7.5) during high school / Bachelor / Master’s degree

Bonus points if you have

• You have done additional curricular activities such as a board year or internship
• You have experience with Lean Six Sigma, Process mining, Business Process Management, Planning and fulfillment or Operations / Manufacturing excellence
• Relevant experience from previous part‑time jobs or internships is also a plus
