Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Delft is seeking a Field Engineer for subsea cable installation. The role involves overseeing the execution of projects and ensuring safety protocols are followed. Ideal candidates will possess a degree in Mechanical or Offshore Engineering and have at least one year of relevant experience. This contract position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to solve technical problems effectively. Rotational shifts are part of the job, requiring 6 weeks on and 6 weeks off.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role or extensive cable lay engineering experience.
• Demonstrable cable lay project experience in position of Field Engineer is a must.
• Familiarity with cable lay equipment design, installation, and commissioning procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols to minimize risks to personnel and equipment.
• Provide technical support to offshore personnel, guiding them through problems.
• Oversee the installation of subsea cables and maintain offshore equipment.
