Job summary

Morehouse College is seeking a Student Engagement Officer to strengthen ties with alumni, donors, and friends through thoughtful outreach and personal connections. You will promote events, encourage philanthropy, and share the Morehouse experience while supporting data-informed fundraising efforts.

This on-campus, work-study position runs in Fall and Spring, with a hourly pay rate between $13.00 and $15.00.

Qualifications

• GPA 2.8 (or higher)
• Full-time student in good academic standing
• Eligible for work study

Responsibilities

• Act as ambassador by maintaining open communication with alumni, donors, and friends
• Make calls, texts, and emails to update and solicit gifts during assigned shifts
• Share Morehouse experiences with alumni and donors
• Communicate goals and updates to alumni from Annual Giving
• Record relevant information for staff
• Gather alumni interests and questions for the college
• Generate excitement for major events (Founders Day, Homecoming)
• Assist Annual Giving in fostering a culture of philanthropy among students, faculty, staff, and parents
• Volunteer (unpaid) at one campus event or donor visit per semester
• Assist with data cleanup and other administrative duties
