Job description

About the Role

At Uber, Consumer Pricing is a high-stakes lever that directly impacts our growth, marketplace dynamics, and bottom line across EMEA. As a Strategy & Operations Manager on the Consumer Operations team, you will be on the front lines of executing and scaling our pricing operations—spanning consumer-facing fee changes, market expansion launches, and demand-shaping initiatives.

This is a fast-paced, highly analytical role that bridges local market realities with central tech and strategy. You won't just analyze numbers—you’ll translate data into operational changes that roll out to millions of users in real time. If you thrive in fast-moving, high-accountability environments, love untangling complex operational problems, and want to own real-world business outcomes, this is where you’ll grow.

What You'll Do
  • Execute EMEA Structural Pricing Changes: Coordinate end-to-end fee adjustments across EMEA markets—managing planning, QA, deployment, monitoring, and post-launch evaluation to ensure accurate and compliant execution.
  • Support Launch & Expansion Readiness: Partner with Local Operations and central teams to execute pricing setup in new markets, translating financial requirements into practical launch configurations.
  • Run and Refine Operational Playbooks: Maintain and execute governance workflows (documentation, controls, approvals, and QA) to minimize operational risk and keep execution fast and consistent.
  • Diagnose Performance with Data: Monitor core pricing, marketplace, and financial metrics; deep-dive performance drivers to identify operational issues and growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate Across Functions: Work day-to-day with Product, Tech, Strategy & Finance, Legal, Tax, Policy, and Local Ops to keep project timelines on track and unblock operational bottlenecks.
  • Bridge EMEA and Global Teams: Serve as an operational point of contact for global pricing and experimentation rollouts, providing feedback on market realities and helping adapt global tools locally.
Basic Qualifications
  • 2–4 years of experience in Strategy & Operations, Marketplace Operations, Program Management, Analytics, or Consulting (preferably within a marketplace or tech environment).
  • Strong quantitative and analytical problem-solving skills with proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets.
  • Proven track record of managing cross-functional projects and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships across distributed teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience with pricing operations, marketplace dynamics, A/B experimentation, or financial/commercial modeling.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and BI tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau) to query data and build operational dashboards.
  • Experience executing structured playbooks, controls, QA processes, or launch frameworks in multi-country or regulated environments.
  • Comfort navigating ambiguity and balancing competing priorities in a fast-changing environment.
