Strategic sourcing specialist – Design & lifestyle

What you will be doing

We have an exciting challenge for you.

As a Strategic Sourcing Specialist, you will be responsible for expanding our supplier network and optimising existing product lines. You will analyse opportunities in terms of MOQs, conditions and cost prices and translate these into smart purchasing advantages.

Together with your colleagues in product development, quality and operations, you will work daily on competitive price agreements based on forecasts, and on streamlining, improving and expanding the supply chain – so that we can produce, purchase and deliver more intelligently.

Your responsibilities at a glance:

Sourcing strategy: You develop a three-year sourcing plan, tailored to our product roadmaps and growth strategies, including measurable KPIs.
Global supplier development: You will proactively seek out new suppliers in Europe, Asia and beyond, and maintain existing relationships at a strategic level. You will implement second sourcing strategies for critical materials and components to mitigate supply risks.
Supply chain & product development: You develop business cases for supply chain optimisation in which all figures are carefully calculated. You support the product development team in price coordination via RFQs, determining MOQs and conducting negotiations.
Price management: You monitor the full landed costs and ensure clear internal communication about them.
Supplier management: Together with operational purchasers, you develop a strategic approach to pricing based on annual forecasts and drive continuous improvement in margins and delivery reliability.
Data-driven decisions: You translate analyses into clear advice for internal stakeholders.
Problem solving: You provide support in the event of delivery problems, quality issues and stock challenges, and ensure that escalations are resolved quickly and effectively.

Who are you?

You are an entrepreneurial go-getter with strategic insight. Someone who likes to take initiative and switches effortlessly between spreadsheets and creative product teams.

You have a bachelor's or master's degree in business administration, supply chain or (technical) commercial economics.
Nevi I and II are an advantage.
You have at least 8 years of experience in a similar role within an international working environment.
You have experience with sourcing processes from product idea to production.
You preferably have experience in the furniture or lighting industry.
You enjoy travelling and doing business across borders.
You have excellent Excel skills.
You are fluent in Dutch and English.
You have strong negotiation skills, analytical ability and know how to create internal support.
You have a driving licence B and are willing to travel internationally approximately 4 to 6 times a year (including to Asia).
