This role is based in our creative Amsterdam office, a bright and collaborative studio overlooking the canals - where creativity and business come together every day.

The Role

This is more than just a merchandising role - it’s your opportunity to help shape the future of Scotch & Soda Womenswear across Europe and beyond.

As Merchandiser Manager, you’ll be at the center of it all: translating data into direction, trends into strategy, and ideas into assortments that resonate in the market. You’ll own the full merchandising lifecycle - from early concept and pricing architecture to in-season performance and hindsight reviews.

You’ll partner closely with Design to build inspiring, on-brand collections. You’ll sit alongside Sales to ensure those collections meet real commercial needs. And you’ll bring the numbers - using insight and instinct to steer product decisions that drive results.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and manage seasonal line plans that support revenue and margin targets.
• Balance fashion/trend direction with product mix, pricing architecture, and market needs.

Product Strategy & Lifecycle Management

• Drive the end-to-end product strategy - from concept through to market launch.
• Partner with Design and PD to ensure ranges are trend-forward and commercially viable.
• Analyze past and in-season performance to inform future line planning.
• Share clear, actionable insights with key stakeholders across the business.
• Monitor market trends, competitor assortments, and consumer behavior to identify white space and innovation opportunities.
• Lead pricing strategy across categories, ensuring competitive positioning and healthy margins.
• Collaborate with Finance and Sales on profitability and promotional planning.
• Work hand-in-hand with Design, Buying, and Sales to align on GTM calendars, delivery timelines, and collection priorities.
• Mentor junior merchandisers (if applicable) and help foster a data-driven, commercially minded team culture.

Reporting & Communication

• Prepare clear and visually compelling presentations on collection performance, pricing, and product strategy for internal reviews.

Who You Are

5+ years of experience in merchandising, buying, or product development - ideally within women’s fashion

Sharp commercial acumen and a strong instinct for product

Advanced Excel and data analysis skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, dashboards)

Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management experience

Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple collections simultaneously

Passionate about fashion, trends, and consumer insight

Fluent in English; based in the Netherlands and eligible to work without visa sponsorship

Experience working with wholesale, retail, and e-commerce channels is a plus
