Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Fungible Solutions Architect to lead the technical strategy on time-boxed engagements, driving platform adoption and acting as a trusted advisor to customer architects and engineering leaders. You will own architecture conversations, design scalable solutions across data engineering, ML/AI, and real-time analytics, and ensure seamless hand-offs to core teams.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in solutions architecture, data engineering, pre-sales or senior hands-on technical roles.
• Hands-on coding ability in Python and SQL with live solution demos.
• Deep knowledge of distributed data systems, production cloud deployments (AWS, Azure, GCP), and lakehouse patterns.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architectural strategy for time-boxed engagements (1–5 months).
• Design scalable, production-grade solutions across data engineering, ML/AI, and real-time analytics.
• Win the technical decision by differentiating Databricks through custom builds in must-win scenarios.
• Package progress for smooth hand-off to core teams to sustain wins.
