Job summary

Mammoet in The Netherlands, Schiedam, is seeking a Project Controller to take financial ownership of a multi-project portfolio within Europe Projects. You will report to project managers and collaborate with stakeholders across Operations, Sales and Finance to ensure robust financial insight.

You will analyze costs, revenues and margins, challenge forecasts, quantify risks and translate operational developments into financial impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Business Economics, Business Administration or a related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in Project Control, Business Control, Financial Planning and Analysis, or a similar analytical role.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to understand complex information quickly.
• A proactive mindset and willingness to take ownership.
• The confidence to challenge forecasts and inconsistencies.
• Strong Excel skills; experience with SAP or Power BI is an advantage.
• Professional proficiency in English; Dutch is an advantage but not required.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the financial control of your project portfolio.
• Monitor and analyze project costs, revenues, margins, cash flow and other key financial indicators.
• Participate in preparing and reviewing project budgets and forecasts with Project Managers.
• Analyze project performance and understand the operational and commercial drivers behind financial deviations.
• Act as a financial sparring partner to Project Managers and stakeholders, challenging assumptions and supporting informed decisions.
• Identify, quantify and monitor project risks and opportunities and translate these into their financial impact.
• Assess the financial impact of project developments, variations and other commercial matters.
• Ensure reliable project financial information and resolve inconsistencies.
• Participate in project kick-off meetings, reviews and close-outs; contribute to process improvements.
• Support internal and external audits and visit project sites to understand activities behind results.
