Job summary

Atlas NextWave is seeking a Project Controller in Amersfoort to serve as a trusted finance partner through the project lifecycle. You’ll manage budgets, forecasts, invoicing, and financial reporting while coordinating with cross-functional teams across international projects.

The role emphasizes a hands-on, commercially driven approach and close collaboration with project managers to keep projects on track.

Qualifications

• An HBO/Bachelor's degree in Business Economics, Business Administration or a related field — or equivalent expertise gained through experience.
• At least three years' experience in a similar role.
• Strong analytical skills and a structured, accurate approach.
• Confidence working with SAP, Excel and other MS Office tools.
• Strong communication skills in both Dutch and English.
• Hands-on mindset, commercial curiosity and the ability to manage deadlines independently and with a team.
• Experience in project controlling and contract management is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Managing project budgets, forecasts, cost control and financial reporting.
• Overseeing invoicing, cash flow and project financial administration.
• Identifying and managing commercial risks, contractual obligations and claims.
• Supporting sales proposals with cost calculations and credit checks.
• Working with customers on commercial matters and potential negotiations.

• Ensuring accurate project setup in SAP and compliance with internal financial controls.

From connecting offshore wind farms to strengthening electricity grids and integrating battery storage, these projects need sharp financial insight alongside technical expertise.
As Project Controller, you'll join an international grid technology business and work closely with Project Managers to drive successful project delivery. You'll take ownership of the financial and commercial picture-from budgets and cash flow to contracts, risks and customer discussions.

Your role

You’ll be a trusted finance partner throughout the project lifecycle, helping teams make informed decisions and keeping projects commercially on track.
Your responsibilities include:
