Job summary

Nutreco is seeking an analytical Procurement / Agri-Commodity Analyst to join the Global Procurement team in the Netherlands. You will support category management for vegetable ingredients, build market reports, and create value from commodity volatility through data-driven insights and AI-enabled procurement tools.

You will collaborate across Procurement, Quality, R&D, and Sustainability, engaging suppliers and market intelligence providers to strengthen forecasts and sourcing recommendations,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, procurement, supply chain or analytics.
• Interest in strategic sourcing and supply chain management.
• Knowledge of Agri-Commodities, markets and indexes.
• Experience with data analysis and data-driven decision making.
• Familiarity with AI concepts and digital procurement tools.
• Strong written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Support the Category Manager for vegetable ingredients with market analyses.
• Prepare market reports, dashboards, KPI tracking and analyses.
• Gather and communicate market intelligence to unlock value.
• Develop forward-looking price curves combining market indices and analytics.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Quality, R&D and Sustainability teams.
• Engage suppliers and market-intelligence providers for forecasting accuracy.
• Assist onboarding of new suppliers and ingredients with MDm and stakeholders.
• Maintain AI-enabled procurement tools and workflows.
• Provide fact-based recommendations on commodity purchasing positions and timing.
